Dr. G Ganga Raju is the son of illustrious Late Sri G.Ranga Raju, Former Chairman of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam for two consecutive terms (1972- 1978) and a former MLA of Andhra Pradesh and also former Zilla Parishad Chairman of West Godavari Dist. Dr. G Ganga Raju is an exemplary individual becoming a leader in nutraceutical business, turning around several business enterprises and establishing numerous institutions to serve the society through education, healthcare and rural upliftment. Dr. G Ganga Raju holds a Pharmacy degree and is also an approved Chemist by A.P. Drug control administration. He was awarded Doctarate of Medicine by Medicina Alternativa Institute in Sri Lanka. Laila Impex has received Best Exporter award for Visakhapatnam Special Ecomic Zone (VSEZ) for the conecutive years 2000-01, 2001-02 & 2002-03. He has made an entry into Financial Sector by establishing Laila Finance Ltd., and the company's main thrust of business was distribution of financial products. He had promoted Laila Aquatech Ltd:, in the year 1994 which was one of the largest sea water based shrimp farm & hatchery. He acquried a sick paper mill "Delta Paper Mills Ltd," in the year 1996 and turned it around into a profit making company within 18 months. This has helped in assuring employment & sustenance to thousands of employees & their families. During the privatization of sick & closed down Sugar factories, Mr. Raju has acquried Hanuman Co-operative Sugard Ltd., hanuman Junction & Palakol sugar factory, Palakol. Later he also acquired Nizam Deccan Sugars Ltd., Bidhan, Metpalli & Medak jointly with Government with a holding of 51%. Bodhan unit has a Distillery as well. Deparment of Science & Techlogy, Government of India recently awarded him Prestigeous DSIR National Award for the Invation in the Development of Anti-Arthritic medicine 5-Loxin.
